The Electrochemical Society (ECS) has recognized the University of Kentucky chapter of ECS as a Chapter of Excellence. The relatively new student organization began conducting activities during the 2014-2015 school year. Student membership is interdisciplinary, and includes representation from multiple departments including chemistry and physics. Professor Mona Shirpour is the faculty advisor for ECS.
