December 07, 2017

Associate professor Dr. Aaron Cramer and doctoral student YuQi Zhang have been recognized by the editorial board of IEEE Transactions on Energy Conversion for a “Best Paper” during the 2016-2017 time frame.

Associate professor Dr. Aaron Cramer and doctoral student YuQi Zhang have been recognized by the editorial board of IEEE Transactions on Energy Conversion for a “Best Paper” during the 2016-2017 time frame.

The paper, titled “Unified model formulations for synchronous machine model with saturation and arbitrary rotor network representation”, appeared in the IEEE Trans. Energy Convers., vol. 31, no. 4, pp. 1356 1365, Dec. 2016 issue. The paper sets forth a unified approach for deriving various synchronous machine model formulations, improving our ability to understand the behavior of electric generators in advanced power systems.

The duo’s recognition is available for viewing here. Dr. Cramer has taught in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at UK since 2010.
