Dean Buchheit Announces Plan to Hire 20 New Faculty Members for 2019-2020

Departments looking for talented faculty include biomedical engineering, chemical and materials engineering, civil engineering, computer science, electrical and computer engineering, mechanical engineering and mining engineering.

The University of Kentucky College of Engineering is hiring 20 new tenure and tenure-track positions for the 2019-2020 academic year. Departments looking for talented faculty include biomedical engineering, chemical and materials engineering, civil engineering, computer science, electrical and computer engineering, mechanical engineering and mining engineering.

“Society doesn’t deliver easy problems for engineering to solve. We have to use our connectedness and the diversity that comes with being connected to help address those significant challenges. To do that, we need talented faculty with keen research instincts and a passion for educating future engineers,” said Dean Rudolph G. Buchheit. “This growth initiative will advance our college in numerous ways, each of which will have a positive impact for many years to come.”
