Zach Agioutantis, professor and chair in the Department of Mining Engineering, has been named an associate editor of Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration, an international peer-reviewed journal published by Springer and the official journal of the Society of Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration (SME).
Agioutantis is the first faculty member to represent the University of Kentucky on the editorial board of the publication.
