Courtney Phillips is a materials science engineering student from Benton, Kentucky. She is a pigman scholar and in the Scholars in Engineering and Management (SEAM) pathway through the Lewis Honors College. She holds a position as an undergraduate researcher for the Institue of Sustainable Manufacturing on campus with the Next Generation Advanced Manufacturing Research Lab, and is also a peer instructor for UK 101. Courtney is also on leadership at Christian Student Fellowship as well as an active member of her church, Centenary. Last summer, she had the opportunity to study abroad in Paris, fulfilling her love for traveling. Other hobbies of hers include reading, hiking, and playing sports. Being a part of the ELLP has been beneficial to her success thus far  and helped her to make the most out of her college experience.
