I attended EKU and completed both a bachelor's degree and masters degree in Chemistry from there in 2015 and 2016 respectively. A few years later after working in the pharmaceutical industry, I returned to school here at UK and completed the Masters with Initial Certification (MIC) program to become certified in secondary science education. Prior to joining the College of Engineering, I spent the last four years as a high school chemistry teacher both at Lafayette High School here in Lexington and Great Crossing High School in Georgetown. I used to be an avid ultimate frisbee player, but recently my friends and I have begun playing pickleball. I'm not so great at it right now, but I am getting better! Also, my wife and I spent two weeks in Italy this past summer for our delayed honeymoon. Our wedding was in June 2020, so we had to hold off on travelling until this year. I am very excited to join the team and begin helping students on their paths to success, and I look forward to working with everyone!
