Tharanie is a senior from Lexington, Kentucky majoring in Computer Engineering and Computer Science with a minor in Violin Performance. She is also pursuing a Cybersecurity certificate and is in the Scholars in Engineering Management (SEAM) honors pathway. Tharanie has worked as a physics tutor for The Study, and as a UK 101 peer instructor during her time at UK. She also is a member of the UK Symphony Orchestra and Choristers. She has served as the Social Chair for UK's chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery for Women (ACM-W) and is currently the treasurer of the organization. She has had the privilege of working at the 402nd Software Engineering Group at the Robins Air Force Base in Warner-Robins, Georgia, and at L3Harris in Melbourne, Florida as a software engineering intern. Tharanie enjoys playing the guitar and violin, reading, hiking, and swimming in her free time!
