Summer Internship Opportunities: Evaluating Industry Energy Use with the Kentucky Industrial Assessment Center

The Kentucky Industrial Assessment Center (KIAC) is accepting applications for student internships for Summer 2019. Interns will be working with the IAC to do energy assessments in industry, helping companies become more energy efficient.
This includes working with companies to collect data, visiting the company to do an assessment, performing analyses of energy use in the company, contributing to reports presenting results to the company, and following up with the company regarding progress in implementation of energy saving recommendations.
Students will be working in a team of students and faculty.
Faculty members include Dr. Don Colliver, Dr. Tom Henninger,
Dr. Larry Holloway, and Dr. Dusan Sekulic.
The position will be for 40 hrs/wk for 12 weeks in the summer. Some part time work may be available during the semesters and during semester breaks.

Your cover letter should cover the following:
- Explain about your interest in the position and why you think you are appropriate for the position.
- Give your year in school (Fresh., Soph., Jr., Sr., or Graduate Student)
- Preference is given to students who have completed their sophomore level engineering coursework: course work that includes at the least either introductory thermodynamics (ME220, MSE351, CME321) or circuits (EE211 or EE305). If you are an undergraduate, your cover letter should indicate which of these courses you have taken.
