Valeria is a Computer Science major with a Mathematics minor from Bogota, Colombia. She is a CURE fellowship recipient, a Gatton College technology teaching assistant and a research assistant in the Burger Ecology Lab in the College of Arts and Sciences. In addition, she is an International Ambassador and an active member of the National Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers and Society of Women in Engineering. Valeria spent her Spring 2023 working as a software engineering intern at SVS solutions in Louisville, Kentucky. She spends her free time drawing, and binge-watching her favorites shows. After graduation, Valeria plans to work as a software engineer and travel the world with her computer, and opening her own software engineering firm.
