Caigang Zhu Featured as a Thought Leader by Photonics Media

Caigang Zhu delivered an invited talk at Photonic Media to introduce his work on a point-of-care metabolic platform for cancer research. 

Since joining UK in 2019, Zhu has been applying novel, point-of-care optical techniques to physiological sensing of the tissue metabolism and vascular microenvironment, to understand the therapeutic resistance mechanism for human cancers, and to identify or evaluate therapeutic targets related to the tumor metabolism and microenvironment in biological models. 

In this invited talk, Zhu introduced a point-of-care optical spectroscopy platform enabled by spectroscopic data processing techniques for simultaneous precision quantification of crucial metabolic and vascular parameters of tissue in vivo.
