The Stanley and Karen Pigman College of Engineering will host its 101st Engineer’s Day, or E-Day, on Saturday, Feb. 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (EST) throughout the engineering complex buildings.
This event celebrates the creativity, innovation and intellect of engineers and computer scientists and their contributions to modern society. It is also a broader demonstration of the impact and importance of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education.
E-Day is designed for grade and high school students who have an interest in engineering fields or are just generally curious about STEM concepts. However, this event is not limited to this audience and current students, community members and family are also welcome to attend.
Over 100 exhibitors will set up interactive displays, demonstrations and exhibits throughout the buildings of the college. Exhibitors come from industry, government organizations, UK departments and UK student organizations.
E-day is a self-led event, but those attending are encouraged to arrive closer to the event start time so that they are able to participate in multiple activities.
Parking will be free and open to the public in the Cornerstone Parking Garage, which is located at 409 South Limestone. Buses can enter UK's Main Gate and drop students off in front of the Ezra Gillis Building on Administrative Drive and park in the Scott Street parking lot.
The event is free and open to the public. Register here.
