TEDxUKY is returning to the University of Kentucky on April 12 and seeking speaker proposals from faculty, staff, students, and alumni.
TEDxUKY is a student-led event for sharing ideas worth spreading, featuring speakers from various disciplines and backgrounds who present their research, insights and stories in engaging and inspiring ways. The event aims to spark curiosity, creativity and connection throughout the UK community and beyond.
The theme for this year's event is “Trailblazing," which celebrates innovation and hidden ideas within the University of Kentucky and brings them to the forefront. As a college known for blazing trails, faculty, students, alumni and staff members of the Pigman College of Engineering are especially encouraged to share their insights on the TEDx stage.
Event organizers said the talks will be made available online following the conference on the TEDxUKY YouTube channel, and potentially on TED.com, where some talks have been attracting online audiences upwards of a million.
The event will be held in the Gatton Student Center Grand Ballroom from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Proposals are being accepted until Feb. 11. Submit a proposal here.
