James is from Oil Springs, KY, and is a sophomore majoring in computer science. He is a Pigman Scholar and also a part of the Lewis Honors College: Engineering and Management pathway. James is a peer instructor for UK 101 on campus, a member of the pickleball club, and an ambassador and participant in the inaugural University of Kentucky First Generation Explore First Study Abroad to Dublin, Ireland. He also loves animals, specifically hedgehogs and his academic advisor's dog, Ranger.
