University Alumni Professor Dibakar Bhattacharyya is the subject of a faculty profile in the Spring 2016 issue of Chemical Engineering Education. This is a great honor for DB, who has been a fixture in the University of Kentucky College of Engineering for nearly 50 years. He has been conducting research and teaching at UK since 1967. He has received a number of awards for his accomplishments, including the 2009 Gerhold Award from the AIChE Separations Division for his outstanding contributions in Membrane Separations Technology Development and the Larry K. Cecil AIChE Environmental Division Award for outstanding membrane technology developments in the water-related field. He has published over 176 refereed journal articles, 21 book chapters and two books and holds eight U.S. patents. He edited the John Wiley book “Responsive Membranes and Materials” that was published in January 2013.
