Hala Nassereddine Receives ELECTRI International Early Career Award

The purpose of the Early Career Award is to initiate a relationship with young researchers who will bring a new focus into the ELECTRI “research family.”

Hala Nassereddine, assistant professor in the University of Kentucky Department of Civil Engineering, has received the Russell J Alessi ELECTRI International 2020 Early Career Award. The purpose of the Early Career Award is to initiate a relationship with young researchers who will bring a new focus into the ELECTRI “research family.”

As the award recipient, Nassereddine will receive funding for her project, “Allocating and Leveraging BIM Efforts for Electrical Contractors.” Her project is expected to last approximately six months.

Nassereddine joined the UK College of Engineering faculty in 2019 as the newest member of the Construction Engineering and Project Management Program. She is also involved with the Kentucky Transportation Center on multiple highway research projects.

In 2019, Nassereddine won the 2019 Construction Industry Institute (CII) Academic Showcase at the CII Annual Conference in San Diego, California.
