Alumna and Adjunct Professor Elaine Duncan receives Society for Biomaterials Award for Service

Elaine Duncan, President, Paladin Medical, Inc. and adjunct professor in the F. Joseph Halcomb III, M.D. Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Kentucky, received Society for Biomaterials Award for Service at the 2022 Annual Meeting in Baltimore, Maryland.

"Elaine's contributions to the SFB have been as an individual and as a corporate entity through her company, Paladin Medical," wrote nominator John L. Ricci. "She is unique in the respect that she has been a passionate and bold advocate of the objectives and goals of the Society for Biomaterials, both as an individual and as a corporate entity"

Duncan graduated from UK with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering in 1974. She was inducted into the College of Engineering's Hall of Distinction in 2000.
