The project, “Ultra-high-Performance nano-Liquid Insulation for upgrading Large Power Transformers (UPLIFT),” is led by GE Research and will be funded in the total amount of $1.71 million over two years.
The new project seeks to improve the service lifetime of large power transformers, which are an essential element used in almost all of the electric power transmission-distribution systems. By collaborating with GE Research and Prolec GE, He will lead the research on lifetime prediction and multi-physics modeling of large power transformers.
