The mission of Marketing and Communications is to clarify and communicate the qualities of the College of Engineering that will attract and retain high quality students, inspire external stakeholders to partner and invest in the college and create a sense of connection and loyalty among our current students, faculty and staff.
The UK College of Engineering Marketing and Communications team plans, directs, and manages the College’s overall communications and marketing efforts. All college-level publications such as Kentucky Engineering Journal, the magazine for alumni and friends of the College, annual reports, informational brochures and other printed materials.
Marketing and Communications also oversees the production and editing of the College’s websites, which includes websites for research centers, institutes, consortia and departments. In addition, the group is a resource for to consult with about best practices for digital marketing. Please note, the group does not create individual websites for faculty or staff; however, Engineering Computing Services can server space and assistance.
Marketing and Communications is also charged with managing public relations and marketing activities for the College. As such, it is the liaison with UK Public Relations and with representatives of the print and electronic media for publicizing achievements of the faculty, staff, and students, events and other College of Engineering programs and initiatives.
