To be awarded the degree of Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, a student must satisfy all the following requirements:
No more than half of the credit toward an undergraduate degree may be earned by any combination of special examinations, Advanced Placement Examinations, CLEP examinations and correspondence courses. A minimum of 30 of the last 36 credits presented for the degree must be taken from the university, but not necessarily on the Lexington campus. Students who wish to earn credit through an independent study by correspondence, special examinations, CLEP and other methods must have the prior approval of the Department Chair and the Dean of the College of Engineering.
