Computer engineering is a discipline that bridges computer science and electrical engineering, offering a deep understanding of computer system design and implementation.
Computer engineers integrate expertise in both hardware and software to better understand computer architecture, hardware/software interface and integrating computers into products and systems at a larger scale.
Freshmen and transfers start with the College of Engineering’s First-Year Engineering program, along with engineering math and science, then proceed into courses on programming, analog and digital circuits, embedded systems and supporting lab and elective courses.
