L. Sebastian Bryson, Ph.D., chair of the Department of Civil Engineering, has been elected to the Board of Directors for the National Institute for Hometown Security (NIHS).
NIHS is a national non-profit organization that protects and preserves critical infrastructure in the rural and underserved communities across the nation. NIHS is focused on accelerating and transitioning security and resilience research into sustainable practices.
Bryson, the Hardin-Drnevich-Huang Professor of Civil Engineering in the Department of Civil Engineering, also holds a joint appointment in the UK Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences.
