Brittany Givens-Rassoolkhani, Ph.D., assistant professor in the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering and Sloan Scholar, has received a $10,000 Seed Grant from the Sloan Scholars Mentoring Network.
All Seed Grant recipients are Sloan Scholar alumni whose awards will advance their research, mentorship activities, or travel to present at premiere convenings in their field. The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation provides support for underrepresented scholars through its Legacy program (previously called the Minority Ph.D. program), University Centers for Exemplary Mentoring (UCEM) program, and Sloan Indigenous Graduate Partnership (SIGP) program — all of which aim to increase the diversity of higher education in STEM fields.
