Formula Kentucky Places Third at FSAE Michigan

The University of Kentucky’s Formula Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Team placed third in cost and presentation at the international Formula SAE competition on May 18-21, 2022.

Caigang Zhu Awarded Awarded Cancer Center Support Grant Pilot

Caigang Zhu, assistant professor in the F. Joseph Halcomb III, M.D. Department of Biomedical Engineering, was awarded $50,000 through the Cancer Center Support Grant Pilot award at the Markey Cancer Center to develop personalized radiotherapy for breast cancer patients.

Y. Charles Lu Named Director of the College of Engineering Paducah Campus

Y. Charles Lu, the H.E. Katterjohn Professor in Engineering, has been named director of the University of Kentucky’s College of Engineering Paducah Campus effective July 1. Lu has taught at UK since 2006 and served as director of undergraduate studies since 2021.

UK Research Project Seeks to Capture CO2 and Produce Hydrogen

Research Group Wins NASA Johnson Space Center Director’s Innovation Team Award

The UK Computational Electromagnetics (CEM) Group was awarded the 2022 NASA and Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center (JSC) Director’s Innovation Award. The CEM team members are Rob Adams, John Young, and Cai-Cheng Lu. The three team members are faculty in the UK Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
