Andrew Martin joined KTC in 2010 and is currently a Senior Research Scientist in the Intelligent Transportation Systems and Traffic Management section. Dr. Martin received his PhD from the University of Kentucky’s Political Science Department in 2015 after completing a research project that leveraged social network analysis to trace the impacts of campaign contributions on congressional behavior and voting patterns. His research at the Center focuses on commercial vehicle regulation, enforcement, and taxation; transportation finance and policy; adjudication of commercial vehicle laws and regulations; transportation agency data quality; intelligent transportation systems; multimodal transportation; traffic incident management; social networks; political institutions; and commercial vehicle technology development and deployment. He has extensive experience as a primary investigator, data analyst, grant writer, and developing and managing complex research projects.
