My research interests lie in autonomy and autonomous control of robotic and mechanical systems. My group develops algorithms for controlling robotic systems using decision-making tools from artificial intelligence and machine learning. We focus on the effect of the feedback between robot dynamics and the outputs/predictions of the AI/ML tools, and create new tools that yield provably safe and stable control of robots in uncertain environments.
