Ian Castro is an international student from Tegucigalpa, Honduras pursuing a major in mechanical engineering and minoring in computer science and mathematics. He has successfully completed three internships, two of which have been at Toyota Production Engineering in Georgetown. In addition to being an Engineering Ambassador, Ian is also an International Student Ambassador, active member of the SHPE (Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers) chapter at UK, a student in the Lewis Honors College, and a prototyping guide at the Innovation Center. He has also been the recipient of the Outstanding Student in Mechanical Engineering for 2023 and 2024. In his free time, Ian enjoys building LEGOs, spending time with friends and family, and playing racing games!
