James is from Oil Springs, KY, and is currently a junior pursuing a degree in computer engineering. He is honored to be a Pigman Scholar and is actively involved in the Lewis Honors College, following the Engineering and Management pathway. James serves as an Engineering Ambassador and a Peer Instructor for the UK 101 course on campus. James has embraced global learning opportunities, participating in the inaugural University of Kentucky First Generation Explore First Study Abroad program in Dublin, Ireland, and completing an 8-week Engineering Study Abroad program in Prague, Czech Republic. Additionally, he is an enthusiastic member of the pickleball club and also loves animals, specifically hedgehogs and his academic advisor's dog, Ranger.
