The objectives of my research laboratory are to engineer biomaterials at the nano, micro, and macroscales as a means to design enhanced control over mechanical properties, biocompatibility, drug delivery, and other desired functionalities. The primary purpose is to develop multiscale biomaterials to improve neuromuscular connectivity in aging and after injury. The laboratory also develops unique fabrication and manufacturing strategies to improve biomaterial function and architecture.
