Lauren Kargas is a fourth-year biosystems engineering student from Somerset, Kentucky. She intends to use her engineering education to find sustainable engineering solutions to biomedical problems. She is a Lead Peer Mentor for the Engineering Living Learning Program, works at the Innovation Center and is the current outreach chair for the ASABE Student Branch. After getting her bachelor’s, Lauren wishes to attend graduate school to pursue a PhD or MD/PhD in nerve regeneration or gene therapy.
