Patrick Robinson is the Director of Philanthropy in the UK Stanley and Karen Pigman College of Engineering Office of Alumni & Philanthropy. Patrick has held this role since May of 2022. In this role he works with alumni and friends of the College to secure major philanthropic support.  Prior to this role, he was the Associate Director of Philanthropy within the college and came home to UK in the summer of 2018.  Patrick also assisted the College of Design with fundraising efforts for their new home, the Gray Design building.

A native of Union County, Kentucky, he formerly was the associate director of advancement for the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) and worked there in a variety of resource development roles for 15 years. He has been a part of four comprehensive campaigns during his tenure. Prior to joining KCTCS in July of 2003, Patrick began his career in alumni and philanthropy in 2000 as a student worker at the University of Kentucky in both the Sturgill Philanthropy Building and the Pigman College of Engineering Alumni & Philanthropy Office. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural education, communications, and leadership from the University of Kentucky in 2001 and a Master of Science degree in vocational education from UK in 2003. He has also completed doctoral coursework at UK in Educational Leadership Studies.

A resident of downtown Lexington, Patrick has served on the boards of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Bluegrass Chapter (AFP), Fayette County District Extension Board, Fayette County 4-H Council, The Ezekial Foundation, Fayette County Farm Bureau and For Those Who Would, Inc., a non-profit dedicated to support individuals prevented from participating in athletic activities due to debilitating injuries or diseases.  He also volunteers with other community initiatives, campus organizations and has chaired several boards. Patrick was honored in 2012 as a Lexington Young Professionals Association (LYPA) Rising Star. In his spare time, Patrick enjoys volunteering, traveling, reading, following a variety of sports, and cheering on our CATS!
