Steve Waddle spent 27 years with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC), where he retired as Chief Highway Engineer. He was responsible for routinely delivering a $1 Billion Construction program and a $180 Million Design Program, and developed the construction staffing inspection plan for the $1 Billion Bridge over the Ohio River in Louisville, KY. Mr. Waddle brings his expertise in project delivery, construction procurement, bridge construction, and highway design to KTC. He was instrumental in securing an NCHRP research study on effective construction project staffing for transportation agencies. He serves as an advisory member on several other NCHRP projects, and is currently a lead team member on numerous research studies and special projects for KYTC that focus on project development and project delivery. Mr. Waddle earned a Bachelor’s and a Master’s in Civil Engineering from University of Kentucky, and an MA in Religious Education from Andersonville Theological Seminary.
