Engineering Ambassador Program 2025-26

The Pigman College of Engineering Ambassador program is comprised of a highly select group of UK engineering students dedicated to the promotion of the Pigman College of Engineering (PCOE) and the University of Kentucky. Engineering Ambassadors play a pivotal role in explaining what it is like to be a student on our campus. Ambassadors share their stories with prospective students and highlight all the amazing opportunities available to them at UK and in the PCOE. They also occasionally assist with current student and alumni events too.

Requirements:

  • Attend all training sessions and meetings
  • Active participation in select events each semester
  • Maintain 3.0 cumulative GPA or above
  • Remain enrolled in a College of Engineering degree the entire academic year
  • Availability for possible weekend and evening programs

Specific Duties May Include, But Are Not Limited To:

  • To positively represent the University of Kentucky, the PCOE, our faculty, staff, and students
  • To present information to prospective and newly enrolled PCOE students and their families in a variety of settings
  • To serve as a student representative on behalf of the Pigman College of Engineering at various on-campus events
  • Assist with engineering career development and alumni office events
  • Attend occasional off-campus recruitment events hosted by UK and/or the Pigman College of Engineering
  • Attend Engineering Grand Tours, assist with Engineering LLP early move-in, volunteer at Engineers Day (E-Day), Merit Days, virtual events, take part in phone-a-thons, postcard writing projects, various office tasks, and more
  • Allow prospective students to ‘shadow’ your classes
  • Events to assist in representing, recruiting, and retaining students for the Pigman College of Engineering
