Association for Computing Machinery

Field trips, lectures by distinguished scientists and attendance at regional and national professional society meetings are all part of membership in a student organization. Our Association of Computing Machinery programming team is competitive nationally and worldwide and was even invited to compete at the 2010 International Collegiate Programming Contest in Harbin, China.

ACM-W at the University of Kentucky aims to raise awareness of the issues faced by women in technology, prepare students for careers in technology, as well as encourage women to join and stay in the field through outreach, networking and mentorship.
